Credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives and all profits made by credit unions are returned back to members in the form of reduced fees, higher savings rates and lower loan rates.
Credit unions are owned by their members. A volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the members, governs a credit union. Each member gets one vote and an equal say in how the credit union is run. With their vote, each member has a direct impact on the direction of the credit union. Also, "people helping people" is the credit union philosophy. A credit union's goal is to serve their members equally and provide charitable contributions to the community.

Removing a Joint Owner
The primary owner of an account can remove a joint owner by completing the New Account Forms. Indicate that the joint owner is to be removed from the account. Return the forms to any FiCare branch location.

A Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a savings certificate entitling the bearer to receive interest. A CD bears a maturity date, a specified fixed interest rate and can be issued in any amount $1,000 or greater. When you open a CD, your money is on deposit for a specific time period. For agreeing to keep it on deposit for that time, you earn more than you would in a regular savings account. If you cash it in before its maturity date, you pay a penalty.
Interest rates on Certificates of Deposit vary and are based on the term of the certificate. Click here to see current rates.

The terms “debit card” and “check card” mean the same thing. A debit card withdraws money from your checking account as a check does; therefore, it debits your account. It can also withdraw money from your savings account. It can be used to make purchases at any retail establishment that displays the VISA logo.
Providing the funds are in your account, you may use your debit card for purchases up to $2,500 per day or up to 15 transactions. You can withdrawal up to $1,000 per day at an ATM. If you use person-to-person payment options like Cash App or Zelle, the limit is $2,500 per day or three transactions.
There is no charge for making a purchase with your VISA debit card.

Co-signers lend their names and good credit histories to the maker. Should the maker die, lose a job, or otherwise fail to make payments, all responsibility for meeting the terms of the loan transfers to the co-signer. An often-overlooked aspect of co-signing a loan is the fact that the loan appears on both the maker's and co-signer's credit reports. Read more about your obligations when you co-sign a loan.

- What are your long-term financial goals?
To make this decision, speak with a Loan Officer to compare and contrast your options. You can use our Auto Buy or Lease calculator to help you calculate your monthly payments and your total net cost for each option. When you consider all of the factors, you can determine which option is right for you.

The federal government requires that each of the three national credit-reporting agencies—Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion—gives you a free credit report every year. You can request a free copy of your credit report by visiting AnnualCreditReport.com. According to the Federal Trade Commission, the only authorized online source is at annualcreditreport.com. Consumers should be aware that there are many sites out there that claim to offer “free” credit reports but often charge you for another product if you accept the report.
To request your credit report by phone, call (877) 322–8228. To request your credit report by mail, write to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. Do not contact the individual credit-reporting agencies.
You can also see the information on your credit report by enrolling in Credit Sense – a feature of FiCare’s Online and Mobile Banking. Use this free tool to check your report, get your free credit score, and receive tips on how to understand and improve your score. You can even refresh the report daily and begin disputes within the Credit Sense program. No purchase necessary! Login to your Online Banking to enroll in Credit Sense.

A personal, or unsecured, loan is a loan without material collateral, such as a car or home. The maximum amount FiCare will lend is $30,000. You can use this loan for many purposes. Learn more about personal loans or apply for a personal loan online.
First, apply in person or online. Then, provide proof of income, such as your most recent paystub. A Loan Officer will contact you within one business day.
If your loan is paid off using cash or a verifiable cashier’s check, you may request an immediately lien release. Otherwise, we will release the title or lien 10 days after we receive the payoff.
If you pay off the loan using a personal check, we will release the title or lien 10 days after we receive the payoff.
Most titles in Florida are electronic, so we will mail you a confirmation that we have released our lien. If you would like to request a paper title, you may do so at the DMV after our lien is released.
No. The credit bureau does not allow us to give out copies of the report. You can request a free copy of your credit report by visiting AnnualCreditReport.com.
Because the federal government requires that each of the three national credit-reporting agencies—Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion—gives you a free credit report every year, consider staggering the receipt of each of your credit reports. That way, you'll get a continuous picture of how your credit picture looks, because the three bureaus feed each other the latest information. You’ll also be able to clean up errors as you find them (because errors can drag down a credit score) and you’ll also keep an eye on identity theft.

Phishing is the act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft.
